A leading restaurant group had set ambitious Net Zero targets and were making good progress on their Scope 1 and 2 by installing various systems that optimised their energy usage and reduced their reliance on gas. However, they were lacking a clear action plan for reaching Net Zero in line with their targets and hadn't even started on Scope 3.

The Solution

Through Tried & Supplied's platform they were able to monitor the progress of their system rollout across all their properties, pick out properties that were lagging behind to troubleshoot, as well as properties that were excelling they could learn from. They were trialing some new technologies and were instantly able to see when these had an effect on emissions reductions, so that they could quickly conduct a cost impact analysis, calculate their ROI and payback time, identify suitable sites and forecast the overall impact on emissions that a complete rollout would have.

Tried & Supplied's expert team used their knowledge of solutions in the industry to make practical suggestions for further improvements and created a realistic Net Zero roadmap to acheive their targets. This also highlighted where carbon offsets or insets would be required. The roadmap addressed key issues with their waste streams such as food waste and identified key emissions drivers in their supply chain that they could work on for Scope 3.
