The Challenge
A Middle Eastern hotel group operating in over 10 countries was finding it challenging to stay up to date with evolving ESG regulations that applied differently to each of their hotels depending on where they were located. Not only that but each of their hotels had been given the autonomy to choose their own operational and purchasing systems, so simply aggregating the data into a single view to ensure compliance was difficult.
The Solution
Tried & Supplied consolidated all their data from disparate systems into one central platform and advised on their compliance requirements in each of their locations. For existing compliance requirements alerts were set up to notify them of any points of non-compliance when these occurred and annual compliance checks were automated and results stored in the Tried & Supplied platform. For new compliance requirements and for global reporting standards including GRI, SASB, CDP and TCFD, dashboards tracked progress towards compliance or completion.
The Result
Peace of mind that the group was not at risk of fines for non compliance with ESG legislation and considerable time saved on global reporting submissions. The progress tracking has also enabled their sustainability team to see in advance how they are performing and motivate teams to achieve more before the submission deadline.
