The Challenge

A US based hotel operator was managing the hotels of multiple global brands. Each brand had to comply with the highest global ESG standards and had their own ESG questionaires for operators containing 100s of similar, but slightly different questions. Reporting to each of their brands was taking a significant amount of time and using up ESG resource that could otherwise be focused on pushing forward initiatives to improve their sustainability and hit key targets.

The Solution

Tried & Supplied was able to map their brand questionnaires to data collected from the hotels different systems and sourced through supplier engagement on Tried & Supplied. This created a central view of all their energy, waste and supply chain impact. From this they were able to automate the responses to their brand questionnaires while simultaneously enriching the answers they were able to give with data gained through supplier engagement.

The Result

They freed up their internal ESG resource to focus on driving forward key sustainability iniatives and were able to impress the brands they report into with the depth of data they could provide. Their internal ESG resource is now working with the Tried & Supplied team to identify further areas of improvement, agree practical solutions and set realistic targets. Progress towards these targets will be monitored through the Tried & Supplied dashboard.
